Our Story

C4 Logistics was founded in 2001 by Sébastien Barth with a clear vision of specialising in time-critical logistics by road and air across Europe.

The name C4 stands for Care, Control, Comunication, and Competence, values that continue to define how we work today.

From the start, our goal has been simple: deliver when every minute matters.

Over the years, we’ve grown with our clients, expanding our reach across the world, deepening our expertise, and developing smart digital tools that make logistics faster, simpler, and more reliable.

Today, we’re trusted by businesses across Europe and worldwide to manage urgent transport, simplify customs management, and provide complete visibility from collection to delivery.

Our journey

Established in 2001, the name C4 captured the company’s guiding values: Care, Control, Communication, and Competence.

Today, our goal remains the same as in 2001: to help businesses move what matters, faster, smarter, and with complete confidence.

2001–2010

C4 Logistics was founded in March 2001 by Sébastien Barth with a clear vision to specialise in time-critical logistics by road and air across Europe.

Through the 2000s, C4 built its reputation in urgent road transport and premium air movements, becoming a trusted partner to automotive and industrial supply chains where speed, precision, and reliability are essential.

2010–2015

By the mid-2010s, C4 had established a strong European footprint with offices in France, Romania, and Germany.

During this period, we launched our first track-and-trace platform, the foundation of what later became C4Sight®, our real-time visibility and KPI portal that set new standards for transparency and performance monitoring.

2016

C4 opened a new office in Budapest, Hungary, positioning the business at the heart of Central Europe’s growing automotive manufacturing region and strengthening on-the-ground support for clients.

2017

A dedicated branch at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport formalised C4 Air, creating a strategic base for express and premium airfreight at one of Europe’s key gateways.

2019

To support EU operations following Brexit and extend our customs capabilities, C4 Logistics Time Critical Limited was incorporated in Ireland in November 2019.

2020-2022

C4 expanded its portfolio beyond transport into customs brokerage and technology solutions. In 2020, we introduced EasyClear®, a self-service customs platform, followed by Drop & Book in 2021 to simplify clearance requests. In 2022, we launched EasyQuote, providing instant pricing for time-critical transport.

Together with C4Sight®, these tools created a connected ecosystem that gives clients full visibility, accuracy, and control.

2023–2024

C4’s customs operations continued to grow, supported by dedicated brokerage teams and smarter integration between our transport and technology platforms.

We enhanced C4Sight® reporting, providing clients with even greater insight into KPIs and delivery performance.

2025–beyond

C4 Logistics now operates from its UK headquarters in Coventry with established offices in France, Germany, Romania, Hungary, and Ireland.

We continue to invest in people, technology, and process improvement to stay ahead of client needs and changing regulations
