We are ready for Brexit! Whatever the outcome of the ongoing negotiations, we are determined our current level of service will remain unchanged.
How have we prepared?
- Our in-house Transport Management System (C4 SightTM) has been re-developed, maximising automation and incorporating new customs support features. We have focused on creating a user-friendly experience to maximise our customers’ control over their own shipments.
- Company communication networks have been upgraded to increase customer access to our customs support specialists. Our state of the art “Aircall” system allows our customers to speak with the most appropriate transport operator for their shipment from anywhere in the world.
- We have created a team of dedicated in-house customs specialists who can complete import/export declarations and transit documents to provide our customers with the option of a “one-stop” approach to their transports. As an alternative, we have also become a member of a customs network based at key shipping ports. This will allow our operations team to choose the fastest and most cost-effective customs process for each job – maximising flexibility and efficiency for our customers.
- Expansion of our network of local customs representatives in key shipping hubs will ensure there will always be someone available to meet shipments where customs documents must be presented in person.
- Expanded our operations team to include over 85% bi/multilingual staffto ensure effective communication with local customs officials in all major EU countries.
- Obtained our Authorised Economic Operator certification (AEO) and created the necessary EDI connection to allow submission of the mandatory Entry Notification Document (END) to French customs.
