From yesterday (20th April,) Kent Access Permits (KAP) are no longer a requirement for HGVs traveling to the EU from the Port of Dover or Eurotunnel. The “check if an HGV is ready to cross the border service” has also been removed.
It is still essential for drivers to check that they have the correct paperwork to cross between Great Britain and the EU, and to check if a coronavirus (COVID-19) test is required.
For help with this, the “information and advice” sites are remaining open. A list of sites and their locations can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/haulier-advice-site-locations
